In an effort to bring to fruition the political aspiration of Hon. Dakuku Peterside to represent Andoni, Opobo/Nkoro Federal Constituency, in the House of Representative, a political pressure group under the aegis of “Opobians in Diaspora” has drummed up support for Hon. Dakuku Peterside.
The group intention to support the aspirant was contained in a letter sent to Senibo Chris Finebone, Spokesman & Chairman, Publicity sub-committee for Hon Dakuku Campaign Organization, quote the group as saying:
“We the Executives and Members of Opobians in Diaspora write to inform you in your capacity as Spokesman & Chairman, Publicity Sub-Committee of Hon Dakuku Campaign Organization; of the formation of this group in support of the election of our brother Hon. Dakuku Peterside to represent Andoni, Opobo/Nkoro Federal Constituency, in the House of Representative.
“We pledge our total support for Hon Peterside in recognition of all he has done to develop Opobo Kingdom. His efforts at empowering our youths, women and men, is unequalled and his contributions at developing the Local Government and Rivers State.
“In view of this, Opobians in Diaspora have come together as one group to show our support for him. We have begun extensive publicity using several social networks to mobilize our people for this cause. In the coming days this group will go all out to sensitive our people and voters of the constituency back home through various available media.
“Hon Dakuku Peterside is a worthy son of Ibani Kingdom who the cap fits perfectly well to represent our people in the House of Rep. This is the message the Forum - Opobians in Diaspora is determined to sell to the whole world and to do everything we can to see to his election”.
